(*In about 2005 I found this yellowed obit for Harriet Exsion Underwood Worley in her younger brother Porter R. Underwood Sr.'s scrapbook. I assume this article is from the Jacksboro newspaper. Harriet (Hattie)Exsion Underwood Worley died on April 27, 1936 - she is buried at Perrin Memorial Gardens, Perrin, Jack Co., TX. She lived near Jacksboro, Jack Co., TX as a child and her parents and two siblings are buried in Gibtown, Jack Co., TX):

Mrs. Worley Dies Monday
Last rights were said Tuesday, at Perrin Texas, for Mrs Hattie E Worley, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs A B Briscoe in Graford.
Mrs. Worley was 63 years old at the time of her death.
She was born July 15, 1873, the daughter of R. C. and L. H. Underwood. She and J. B. Worley were married June 16, 1901 in Parker County.
The couple moved to Jack Co in 1916, and a short time later he was elected to the office of county clerk. His death which preceeded Mrs Worley just 15 years to a day, cut short his tenure of office. Mrs. Worley was appointed to the office, which she held eight years.
She became a member of the First Baptist Church at the age of 18. She is survived by her 12 children; E. O. and Sidney of Linsey, Oklahoma John and David New York City Roy of San Marcus; MESDAMES F. K. Hottal Harlengen Texas. W. B. Watkins Decator, Corrine Reynolds Alpine, A. B. Briscoe Graford, R. C. Harris, Olney, E. C. PRUITT and A. L. MILLS HEREFORD, ARIZONA.
Three sisters; Mesdames J. A. Buster, Abiline, Sam White and Verna Whitefield, Dallas.
Three brothers; R. E. Underwood, Dallas, P. R. Underwood, Decator, and R. G. Underwood.
16 Grand-children also survive.

(*corrections were written in by pencil probably by Porter R. Underwood Sr., brother of Hattie - he marked out "cut short his tenure of office" and "appointed to the office" and wrote over "appointed" the word: Elected. Also he partially erased the G. in R. C. Underwood's name and wrote a C over it.
*correction by Candice - mother L. H. Underwood is also incorrect, it should have said T. H. Underwood - her whole name was Texana H. Bond Underwood)
