Morris Dees was Pearl's second husband. He is the only grandfather I ever knew. My son has my grandpa Dees' middle name.
Pearl married Douglas Arizona Harwell and had my father and my uncle Bob. Douglas had just change his last name to Harvill when they divorced. The marriage cert. just Has
D.A. Harwell on it. Grandma married Morris about a year later. Wicitha Co., Tx. - with is also were both my dad and uncle were born.
Thing is, Douglas Harvill did live in Harris Co. Tx. for awhile in the 30's and did marry again. Believed to be there. Later in life his main home was in Santa Fe, but I just found out he had something in Channelview, Tx. also.
It may have once belonged to his mother. I don't know if she remarried. I think his father died in the late 20's???
Douglas Arizona Horvill is my dad. He changed from Harvill to Horvill. I have a copy of the thing you sent. It come from the family tree of Elvira Hill who married David Laughlin. They are Pearl's greatgrandparents. AS Pearl Elvira's middle name came from. It's alittle messed up.
Douglas Horvill married Betty Claywell, I'm there middle child, Robin.
Douglas Harvill never had anymore children. I have talked to a lady (Charlotte)that was raised by Douglas and his 2nd wife. I believe both she and Douglas' mother died sometime in the 70's, but his wife died in M.N. and his mother in Texas.
I have his death cerificate, but it doesn't help much because he never told Charlotte much. She did have him buried in Houston, Tx. at Forest Park East.
Robin
