Ruth, Perhaps your Henry Ayres was related to the Thomas Ayres of Spesutia Lower Hundred, Harford County, listed in the census of 1776? Thomas was then 38 years old, and his wife (apparently) was just 23. I may be related to that Ayres. In the same Hundred, there was a Thomas Browning listed, and he named a daughter Milcah, an unusual name. My great-great grandmother was Milcah Susan Browning, and she had a brother Thomas. Her mother was Sarah Ayres. My Milcah was born in Montgomery County ca. 1812. I suspect she was a cousin of the Milcah of Harford County. But I have no proof. I do not know Sarah Ayres parentage. Any help would be appreciated.
