J. B. AYRES, foreman of finishing department National Rolling-mill, McKeesport, is a native of Philadelphia, where he was reared and educated. Subsequently he was employed in various mills in different sections of the state. He came in McKeesport in 1879, and entered the employ of the National Tube-works Company, where he has since been engaged, having held his present position since 1881. He is a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Heptasophs; he is a staunch advocate of prohibition.
