Barry, I just looked through your book on line. I enjoyed reading it. I did not see a connection to my Ayers. My Great Great Grandmother was Sarah Jane Ayers or Ayres born abt. 1818 in Virginia. She married Burwell Gearhart according to Quaker records. Her mother was Hanah Ayers for some reason all the children kept the Ayers name. I have been told that the childrens father was John Mitchell born 1790 in Virginia. Hannah's father was John Ayers born abt. 1755. John Ayers was a preacher with the Methodist Church. They were in Bedford Co. Virginia in 1789. Do you have any information on this family? Or do you know anyone who has done research on this family?
