I am trying to determine the ancestry of Alburn Ayres. He was born somewhere in Virginia in 1808, and he died in Polk County, Missouri, in 1880. His first wife was Nancy Rector (daughter of Warren and Mary Rector), and they were married somewhere in Virginia, but I do not know the county or the year (probably in the early 1830s). His second wife was Mary Ball; they probably married around 1840, but I do not know where (probably Virginia or Missouri). (Alburn also had a third wife—Mary Rector—but I know where and when they were married.)
Any information about Alburn’s parents or siblings, as well as more precise information about where he was born and the place and year of his first two marriages, would be greatly appreciated. Because his first name is relatively unusual, written records might not list him as “Alburn”; I’ve seen him identified as “Auburn,” “Albert,” and other variations. The last name may be Ayres, Ayers, or some other variation.
