John AYRE, age 58, single, a farmer, and his son William John AYRE, age 29 10/12ths, single, a locomotive engineer, arrived in NY aboard the steamer ST.LOUIS on 14 Apr 1907. The destination of each was Bournville, Ontario to see a brother of William John named A. AYRE.
A son of William John AYRE (his real name was William John Henry AYRE) named William John AYRE was born 31 Oct 1911, died 29 May 1995, was living in Philadelphia as a young boy and remembered his uncle A. AYRE was in Philadelphia at that time. This uncle A. AYRE moved "north", most likely Canada or New England.
William John AYRE (1911-1995) md Margaret Keeley and this family lived in Baltimore for most of their early years. They had 2 children, John Franklin (1933-abt 1986) and William John II "Bill" (1945-present).
I would be very happy to make contact with the branch of this family that "went north".
