Hi Serge,

I have been swapping e-mails for half the day with someone I know who has done extensive research on the deportation. I have done a lot but she has done A LOT more than I have. She has informed me there was indeed an Ayot family living in Acadia at the time of the deportation. She is, at the very time I write this, going through her research to see if she can find where they were deported to and when. The reason that you and I could not find that is because she has stated to me this family does not appear on any of the deportation lists that are available online. She also told me that on the off chance she cannot find it in her records that Stephen White probably has it in his personal notes at the university so I will ask him for that information if I don't get it from my source. My contact does not do look-ups for other people and so I do not want to use her name on an open forum. I will let you know if she finds it. This may also help you make the connection regarding Etienne's parents.

Sharron
