Some are trying to claim the famous as their rellie, but can anyone add to this and prove where Gladys fits into the Aylward family?:

Gladys May Aylward, born 24 February 1902 at Edmonton, London

Her parents - marriage:
Thomas John Aylward married Rosina Florence Whiskin at Greenwich, June quarter 1900

- father’s birth details
Thomas John Aylward christened St Saviour, June quarter 1878

1881 census (OK, you might have to format this to see the detail):
Household:
Name                     Relation       Marital       Gender       Age        Birthplace               Occupation
Status
Thomas AYLWARD        Head               M        Male        26        Southwark, Surrey        Domestic Servant
Sarah AYLWARD        Wife               M        Female 27        Deptford, Kent
Thomas AYLWARD        Son                      Male        3        Walworth, Surrey
William AYLWARD       Son                      Male        8 m        Camberwell, Surrey

Source Information:
Dwelling                             6 Old Kent Rd
Census Place                            Southwark St George Martyr, Surrey, England

Thomas John Aylward married Sarah Frances Coulson 28 July 1876 at Saint Paul's, Deptford, Kent

The closest birth to this for Thomas (1881 - 26 = 1855) that I can locate on FreeBMD is:

Thomas Parker Aylward at Lambeth in the March quarter 1851

Could this be the same person? Lambeth looks pretty close to Southwark on the map.
