I am the Great Daughter of Agnes Aylward of Five Islands!!! My Grandfather was James Robert Aylward, Sr. born in Tewskbury, Massachusetts, USA (illegimate son of Agnes Aylward who was sent to Boston to live with one of her uncles. She gave him up and from what I understand, never had any other children and died in the 1950s); he was raised in Baldwinville, Massachusetts and had 10 children, the first child being my father James Robert Aylward, Jr. born in Winchenodon in 1934. I am the oldest of James, Jr.'s 6 children and have been very interested the last several years in my grandfather's ancestory; he died in 1992 and gave me permission to look into the family history. Oh my God! We are really related! This is so exciting! I have been to Five Islands, called several relatives in that area several years ago and have been at a standstill on this since that time.
