Hello Marion;
I cannot specifically link to John Aylward married to Unknown Burcher of Hampshire but three things lead me to believe we may be on to something. First, my 2G grandparents were Edward Burcher Aylward and Elizabeth Ellen Chase, married 29 April 1848, Harting, Sussex, England. Second, my Aylward line is from Winchester, Hampshire. Third, my grandmother always said we were connected to the family of General Wolfe but didn't specify how. How do the dates fit? Could John be the father of the above Edward?
