I am looking for information on my great grandmother Ellen AYLWARD (ELWOOD). She was born in May of 1871 in Fall River, MA and married my great grandfather Henry (Harry) WOOD. He was from England. On the Fall River 1900 census, Ellen's father was born in Ireland and her mother in England. I have no other information. Ellen and Henry had several children:
Jane b. July 1893
William b. March 1894
Henry b. Dec 1896
Sydney b. Feb. 1900 (died young)

Arnold b. March 1901 (my grandfather)
m. Mildred Doris BAXENDALE Oct. 12, 1927
Regina b. March 1903
I have a document that shows that Ellen bought a cemetary plot for Henry. It was signed Ellen S. Wood. Several different docuements that I have list the mother as being Ellen or Nellie but the last name is spelt several different ways such as: ELWOOD, ELLWOOD, ELLWOOD WARD, AND AYLWARD. If anyone has any information on this family, I would be forever grateful. I can't find Ellen's birth certificate at the Fall River city library. I will try and send for it. Thanks to all!
