Hi Mary, Thanks for yours of 29 November. I have a bit of a variation on your Cheever. My source suggests that Margaret Chevers married Bartholomew Aylmer(b.c1452,d.1501), who succeeded to the Manor of Lyons when his elder brother Thomas Aylmer died. Margaret Chevers was the daughter of Sir Christopher Chevers of Macetown, Co Meath, by his wife Eleanor, who was the daughter of Sir William Wells(the Lord Chancellor of Ireland). Bartholomew was admitted to franchise of Dublin in 1479 by "special grace" and became High Sheriff of Co Kildare in 1494. Margaret died 20 Sep 1514 and they had: Richard, Bartholomew's successor at Lyons, Gerald, who became the Chief Justice, two more unnamed sons,Anne,Eleanor and three more daughters unnamed. I wonder if they are the same Cheever/Chevers? Regards, Martin Collyer
