Alling Mutation?
Posted by: Mark Allen (ID *****9797) Date: September 25, 2011 at 10:33:17

Greetings Alyings,

I have recently discovered that I may be a descendant of an Abraham Alling of Oyster Bay NY. Abraham was one of two Alling progenitors in the US...the other being a Roger Alling of New Haven Ct.

There was speculation that the Alling name was descended from the Aethlings and upon a recent personal discovery I now know that the Alyings were descended from Edward the Aethling who was succedeed by William The Conqueror as King of England.

To the best of anyone's knowledge do the Allings descend from the Alyings?

Thanks in advance,
Mark Allen
