In the will of Judiah Aylesworth he mentions his son Arthur and the Aylesworth book says he served in Rev. But the book doesn't give any more details on Arthur. But Judiah's will mentions grandsons Daniel, Stephen and Reuben. These three have to be sons of Arthur. Arthur Aylesworth was in 1790 census for Dorsett, Bennington Co., VT. Arthur Aylesworth married Avill Beardsley Dec 3 1778 in Manchester, Bennington Co., VT. Son Stephen Aylesworth is in 1810 census for Bennington, Bennington Co., VT with his young family. 1 boy and 1 girl and his wife. Stephen married Margaret Donaldson abt 1807. Her father was Ezra Donaldson who lived there in 1800. Stephen and Margaret moved to Cayuga Co., NY before 1820 census (brother Daniel may have moved there also)and is called Stephen Ellsworth. He is mentioned in DR Mortimer Delano's records there in 1825. He was sick and dying. After Stephen died around 1830 his oldest son Ira Hanks Elsworth had to help his mother with the younger kids. They were able to educate them. Ira had an education for sure. Several other children went to Fayetteville Acadamy in Onondaga Co., NY where Margaret married Origen Eaton the widowed father of Ira Hank Elsworth's wife Sophia Eaton. Margaret wa still alive in 1845. Ira Hanks Elsworth and his family along with his brother Norman Ellsworth moved to Calhoun Co., MI. Some of their other siblings moved ther also along with sosme Eaton kinfolk. Norma Roberts Notify Administrator about this message?
