I cannot provide the documentation you requested, but I do have reason to believe it is not correct.
Using the family name of Ayers, John and Hanah (Travers) registered the birth of a son, also named John, with a birth date of 18 April 1688. Doing the math indicated that the birth of a second child that year was not possible. Ref. is Haverhill, MS vital records.
