I now know that Thomas Ayer had a brother, Hartwell (who saved Thomas' life, after he was captured by the British). I, also, know that his son, Lewis Malone AYER, md. three times: 1st to Sarah NUNNARY; 2nd to Anna BEALE; and 3rd to Rebecca IRWIN. (Lewis Malone AYER'S son, Lewis Malone AYER, Jr.--by Rebecca--was the one who md. Anna PATTERSON). Thomas named another son, Hartwell.
