Ayer's of California & East Coast 1800's

I am looking for any information on the Ayer name in California and possibly the Boston area and Canada during the 1800's. I do know that my ancestors beyond my great grandfather came west from the East Coast and Canada in the 1800's. I can only go back to my great grandfather and some of his siblings that lived in the San Francisco area, primarily Knob Hill, in the mid 1800's. I would appreciated any information you can give me and I will be more than happy to help you too. I also have much information on the Lee's, like Robert E. Lee who is my relative also, who married into my family too.
