I am trying to locate information on the sister of Lewis Malone Ayer, Jr., Martha Ayer. She married Judge Alfed Proctor Aldrich and lived in Barnwell. I have obtained a copy of her article on Sherman's March through the Barnwell area which is quite interesting.
We would love to have a picture of Martha Ayer Aldrich (1819-1891) and her son Alfred (1844-1919). The only photo we can find of Alfred is in a book on "Butler's Brigade". We are certain there must be family pictures around but difficult to locate. Alfred is buried at Anderson Cemetery which is the town in which Lewis Malone Ayer, Jr. lived. Also have photos of Lewis Malone Ayer Sr and Jr. if anyone needs them.
