Logic dictates John b.1592 NOT son of Thomas/Elizabeth

All over the internet there is information stating that Thomas Ayer/Eyer of New Sarum married Elizabeth Rogers and lists 10 children. However, those children span from Robert born in 1559 to John born in 1592. Even if Elizabeth had her first child at about 15, it is very unlikely that she would have had a child at age 48. Yes, it's physically possible but given the time period, very unlikely.

I don't have access to all the sources at hand to try to track down what source is the original. The printed one I have is the Gustin-Carlisle book that was published in 1954, so obviously they got their information elsewhere.

The best way to see where this "family" came from is to track down the sources to find out how/when this putative family group originated. I have no problems with the descendancy of John Ayer and Hannah (Evered), but just do not believe that all of Thomas' children were by the same wife, and am skeptical that they are John's parents.

Has anyone ever researched in the primary records in England to prove any of this family?
