I am looking at the family Chart of Eleazer Ayer my ggg grandfather born in Franklin Ct. March 1776 and died Oct 1851. First married to Anna Ladd 1807 looks like, and she died in 1829. He then married her sister Rebecca Ladd no date.Eleazer Ladd's Father was a Revolutionary War Soldier and his Unit fought bravely at Saratoga, Battle of.His name was Timothy Ayer and many relatives have joined DAR and SAR on his record. Eleazer had 10 children the last being Wolcott Huntington Ayer my gg grandfather.Their 8th child was William Durkee Ayer born Sept.13,1816 and Married Abby Shoals April 1843.The name Cornelia Spofford appears in this column also, I don't know why.Almost all the Franklin Ayer family is buried in Franklin CT.I am quite sure this part of the family did live in Hampton and Canterbury CT. My Grandfater was named Wolcott also so William Durkee Ayer was his Grandfathers brother, so a pretty close relation. My name is William Ayer so who knows where it came from. Hope this helps you in your search.Keep in touch. Bill Ayer
