hi! im Clarissa Aycox from Sherman,TX. Lately i've been curious about the Aycox family.Ive read just about all of the messages that were posted and just about every one mentioned the family moving to oklahoma from alabama. This caught my attention so i talked to my dad.His mom,Josephine's maiden name was Gentry, and she was married to Marion Aycox which is my grandpa.(Stay with me this kinda gets confusing...)so anywayz my grandpas dad moved from alabama around the same time someone else mentioned in another message,1910. the story was that he had gotten into some trouble with the law so he left the state quick, which was how he ended up in Oklahoma!! Just to be safe he changed the Acox name to Aycox by just adding a "y" so he wouldnt be traced!!!I dont know if this story really helps but i thought it was interesting. So let me know if i can help in any other way. ~clarissa:)
