You're right. I have obtained a copy of Elizabeth Axtell's marriage license for her marriage to Alden E. Hanes dated Nov.27th 1888. On it she gives her father's name as Ira Axtell and her mother's as Lucy Crabtree. Eliz. gave her age as 52, and her place of birth as Friendship, NY. To repeat, she is my great grandmother through her earlier marriage to Abiel S. Deane, and one of their sons, Cyrus Elwood Deane, was my grandfather. Thank you for the correction.
