Daniel Axtell who married Phebe Ely was born 1808 (not 1818, as I posted earlier). When it was called to my attention that the date probably was 1808, I looked closer and there was a very faint line completing the 0, from what initially appeared be be a 1. So, the Bible record does, in fact, match with other records which show him to be born 1808.
