Nancy Ohda: Aaron Axtell's daughter Elizabeth was my gr. grandmother. She married Abiel S. Deane in 1860 in Amboy, Lee County, Illinois, and they resided in Marseilles, LaSalle County, Illinois where my grandfather, Cyrus Elwood Deane was born in 1869. Elizabeth Axtell Deane Haines (she remarried after the death of Abiel in 1884) died in 1908. My grandfather died either Dec.31, 1961 or Jan.1, 1962, I don't remember which. He married Ida Clara Hausdorf in Vandalia, Illinois in 1899, aand they resided in Chicago, Illinois all their married life. They had three daughters - Doris (my mother), Norma, and Erma. Only Erma survives and she is about 97, and in a nursing home in Albuquerque, NM. That is a little update on some Axtell descendants. Best wishes.
