Searching for Mary Axtell wife of George Chambers in Indiana around 1872

George Chambers and Mary Axtel are supposedly the parrents of Mary Emma Chambers b March 1872 in Indiana.

I cannot find any records of Mary Axtel OR George Chambers. . does anybody have a Mary Axtel who married a George Chambers around that time?

To complicate matters Mary Emma Chambers married Sanford Conkle however in 1900 Mary Emma Conkle (with the right children etc) is listed in the home of Henry Armstrong with her listed as daughter and in her daughters memory book it said that she moved to her grandfathers farm (Armstong) when she was five.

Was Henry Armstrong really Mary Axtel's second husband?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
