Seeking information on John Axtell, of Friendship, Allegany County, NY, who married Mary Ann (aka Polly) Sturges in the 1840s. They adopted a daughter, Mary M. Axtell. In his will, which was filed in 1865, his widow was administrator and his heirs included L. Steenrod, Hodah (prob. Huldah) Willard, A. Axtell, Betsy Axtell, T.F. Axtell, Daniel W. Axtell, and J. Axtell.
