Isaac Axford born in Erlestoke, Wiltshire, England in about 1730 - son of William Axford and Susannah Exton. Isaac was a grocer at Ludgate, London apprenticed to John Barton of Ludgate Hill. Isaac married Hannah Lightfoot at Dr. Keith's marriage chapel, Mayfair on 11th December, 1753. Immediately after the marriage Hannah was taken away in a closed carriage and Isaac did not see her again. On 3rd December, 1759 he married Mary Bartlett at Erlestoke, Wiltshire. He is described on his marriage bond as a widower. Does anyone know when and where his first wife, Hannah died?
