This obituary was posted in the Vancouver, BC, Canada's newspaper "The Province" on Monday, March 27, 2000:
AXFORD Dennis Eric, born March 15, 1925 passed away peacefully on March 24, 2000
at Chilliwack G.H. after a courageous battle with cancer. Denny was predeceased by his
father, Eric and his mother Edith. He is survived by Levern his loving wife of fifty years,
his four sons Wayne (Lynne), Gary (Valerie), Dale (Debi), and John. He will be remembered
by his grandchildren Brent, Lauren, Tracy, Kly, Danielle, Cassandra and Michael, his great-granddaughters
Alia and Emma, his brother Robert, and sister Magaret, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Denny was a long time employee of Van. School Board (IBEW Local 213), Past Master of the Trinity Lodge 98,
and member of Kiwanis & Curling Clubs in Chilliwack. His tireless assistance with all projects was greatly
appreciated and will be a friendly reminder this community spirited and devoted family man. Special
thanks: NU4 Chilliwack G.H. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his name to the Masonic Community
Charities Fund, Cancer Car. A memorial service will be held in celebration of his life at the Chilliwack
United Church 45835 Spadina Ave. April 3, 2000 at 2:00PM A reception will follow.
