Hello,
I saw your post and have been tracing my father's parents. My Grandmother's name was Jenny Caroline Axelsen, and she was born around 1898 on the island of Fohr. I believe the town was Wyk
She had several sisters who remained there. She came to the US in about 1926 with my father whose name was Jens and who was born in 1921. Her husband was Andreas Nissen, but think he may have been from the mainland..He came to the US to work while were married, and then she came over when my dad was around 4-5.
