Hi Denny!Yes, that makes sense.Also, another researcher for the Avers Family told me that most likely the name was spelled Ewers in Germany and pronounced Evers with the E sounding like A.He is the Grandson of an Avers that came over from Germany way back.Also was a kinship to my Avers Family, Emanuel Avers.Actually Johann Heimlich Emanuel Avers.I never knew it could get so complicated.I did, however, find a lot of information by checking with familyhistory.com.Lots more people researching Avers on that web.Good luck.Keep me posted if you find interesting things!Judy
