Hello, everybody!
Glad to meet you. I'm interested in Charles Averett. Born late 1700's (where?). Moved to SW Miss. in the spring of 1810 (Ga. Passport). Married to Catherine Rentz (dau. of John Rentz) in Sept., 1810 in Amite County, Miss. Died before 1830 census. Widow and children moved to Livingston Parish, La. ca. 1832.
Charles had a brother, James, who lived near Fort Valley, Ga., in Houston Co. James' children married into the Green family.
Don't know where my Averetts were from any further back than that. Can anyone help?
I have most of Charles' descendants, and would like to know his parentage.
