Bonnie, Juniper Hall had a very large family, and left a will in 1828 in Emanuel County, Ga. Countless descendants have been looking for his parentage for many years. I've been researching the Halls since 2000, but no, I don't know who his parents were. A 37 marker DNA test was done on a descendant of his, and he had three matches, all Hall men who were born in Maryland. They are Family group 10 at the FTDNA project for the Hall surname. Juniper's birthplace, however, is uncertain. In the 1880 census for six of the seven children that I can find, his birthplace is given as Georgia, in the other, N.C. I do think that he had to be related to William Hall, who died in 1833 in Leon County, Fl. This William Hall married Jane Adams in 1807 in Tattnall County, Ga, and moved to Leon County about 1824, where he was a near neighbor of Green Hill Chaires. I have no proof that Juniper and William were related, but he is the only Hall man besides the three DNA matches that I feel sure was related to him. I think someone from the Charles Hall family had DNA testing done, and didn't match with Juniper. I am interested in a John Hall, however, who lived in early St. Mathew's Parish/Effingham County, Ga, where Charles Hall lived. This John Hall was branded as a Loyalist. He had six children in an early census record, but the only child of his that I can find documentation on was named Nathaniel Hall. Nathaniel Hall was a militia captain in Spanish East Florida for many years, before moving back to Georgia. Some researchers seem to think that this John Hall may have come from Maryland also. Like you, many of my ancestors did come from early Maryland to Georgia. Much mystery with this family..
