The cemetery transcription is in error. In 1860 Leon Fl you find Susan Chaires age 50 living in the Green H Chaires household, along with 7 year old Mary E Walden, Susan Kornegay Hall Chaires' granddaughter of whom she was then guardian. Kindred Hall died prior to 1846. There is a Thomas County marriage record listed on line at the Thomas Co genweb site, dated JaN 15, 1846, between Green H. Chears and Susan Hill. It should read Green H Chaires and Susan Hall. So, I think I have this right. Your other info is very interesting. I'll give it some thought. Thanks, Carol
