I don't have any answers for you, but maybe I can muddy the waters enough to stir up some clues.
I'm looking for a definitive answer to the parents of Amanda Everett/Everitt b. in Floyd CO. GA (I think) & died in Van Zandt County Texas. She married Laban Rowden who served in the CSA with an Alabama unit & he is buried there. Amanda moved to Texas with her Daughter Elmina & son-in-law Henry Matthew Ezell around 1890, living near Wills Point. Elmina (b. 1859 d. 1928) & Henry (b. 1859 d. 1943) are buried in White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.
Elmina's middle name is "Wilmouth" -- I've always wondered where that came from.
Amanda Everett was supposed to be the child of Quenton Everett & Polly G. Christmas, from Everett Springs, Floyd CO. GA. I've never found any marriage record for them, but have begun seeing postings of James Everett/Averitt being married to Polly Christmas & living in Chatooga Co GA in 1840.
Maybe I've been looking for the wrong man all this time, & should be digging into descendats of Wilmouth Rudd?
If either of you can shed any light on these folks, I would appreciate it!
