Ann,

I have a George Washington Averitt in my line. We have it that he was one of 8 children born to Joel, b. 1721 in Virginia, and his wife Wilmoth Rudd, married 1741. The children's names were Peter, Rudd, Jarrett Thomas Sam Elisha, & John. We don't have any info on when any of the children were born. We have found that Peter died in 1842 in TN.
We think Geo.Washingon's grandfather was Henry Averitt b. 1685 in VA, married a lady that was born in 1689, and they married in 1716.
