I am trying to learn if there were 2 Aaron Averitts in North Carolina before 1800. In Will F. Averitt's book "History of the First 300 Yrs of the Averitt Family" he lists my Aaron Averitts father as Thomas. (The Aaron who moved to TN and later to KY.) In the Will of Benjamin Averitt dated 1797, in NC, he lists his son as Aaron. My Aaron who moved to Tennesse and married there in 1802 was born 1777. Does anyone know if there was another Aaron which could explain this?
