Ross,
I have conflicting information on Matthew Averett. This is what I have:
Matthew s/o Thomas & Sarah (Turner) Averett, born 25 Nov 1794 in VA, married to Elizabeth last name unknown, died 17 Jan 1882 in Stewartsville, Dekalb County, MO. Since he isn't my line, I don't have a whole lot on him. My line is with his brother James Avory/Averett.
This doesn't information isn't any real surpirse, as it seems that the Averett's/Everett's used the same first names over and over, I guess out of tradition. This makes it very confusing for us researching the families. WOW!!!!
