I am searching for info on the immediate ancestors of Jerome Thomas Averett, who lived on a tobacco farm about 5 miles southwest of Oxford, NC from about 1890 til about 1928, when he died. His wife was Lorena Overton Averett, and they had nine children, one of whom was James Long Averett, my father. One of his sisters was Lorena Averett, who taught high school English at Oxford High School for many years. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
