Since I originally posted this message I've located Alexander Averyt's will in Johnston Co., North Carolina. Alexander Averyt's will was written on December 16, 1818 and probated in February court 1832. His wife and children are listed as follows:
Sarah Averyt (wife)
William Averyt (son)
Sally Ingram (daughter)
Christian Duncan (daughter)
Alex Averyt (son)
Peggy Smith (daughter)
Also named in the will are grandsons Alex Norris and Harry Ingram. Hope this helps.
