Gerry,
I am not of Amos' line that I know of. The John Avants line I am from is the John Avants who lived in Arkansas first Saline County in 1850 and 1860 on lived in Polk County. He was born in Tennessee in 1827 and was in Coffee County in the 1830's. I have more on the Avants gen forum.
