I have not verified the information but it seems right. Most of what I have are letters written by my mother's sister to their brother years agow. ( I finally found them again. ) My uncle had become mormon and started a family research. The people and dates they give begin with Joseph Avent. The only reference to F.M. Avent says that Joseph did not become a wealthy man like his father. There are a few things about when he died.
My aunt regretted the hard feelings that had caused a separation between my grandfather and Joseph Avent. Tell me if you are interested in any of this. It is good th hear from you-
