Thanks for the quick response!where in north caroilina did she come from? do you know who her parents were? in mcminn,the name changed from avans-avens-evans!!! real hard to keep up with! there was a wesley avans there in the 1830's up to the 1850's. my ancestor is/was connected to him in some way other than as a daughter,maybe a neice? i think the family might have come from caswell county,nc.thanks again! every bit helps!
