My greatgrandfather was Elbert Trenor Awtrey; his father was William Eldridge Awtrey, d. 1/4/1876 in Phillips Co., ARK. Elbert's mother was Martha Ann Ramsey, b. 5/19/1842 in Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama. They were married on 1/4/1876 somewhere in Alabama.

Sarah was Elbert's sister. We have a b. date around 1863 in Chickasaw county, Mississippi & that she married Jack Porter in McCarey, ARK.

The other children of this marriage were William; b. 1867, Henry; b. 1869, Martha; b. 1871, Alice; b. 12/7/1872 & David; b. 1875
