Marion Elizabeth Autrey, born 18 Mar 1892, in Yancey County, was the daughter of Jason Thompson Autrey and Sarah Ann Gibbs. She married a cousin, William Bratch Autrey, on 25 Jan 1913 in Yancey County. William Bratch Autrey was born 9 Sep 1889 in Yancey County, the son of James A. Autrey and Sally Chrisawn.

James A. Autrey was the son of John P. Autrey and Margaret Burnett. John P. and Jason Autrey were brothers.
