my gr grandfather was a JOHN HENRY VAUGHN, We don't know what happened to him, I know that he took my gr grandmother & their 13 kids & settled them into LA sometime after 1906. He "disappeared" sometime later. He was also known for stealing horses, and trying to rob trains. He was also a miner & a farmer.
Family rumor has it that he went into ARK and married another woman, & started a new family..We are pretty sure my gr grandfather was b about 1848 in MO. His parents were MABORNE & LUCINDA VAUGHN. Could this be your JOHN HENRY VAUGHN?
