This may be a long shot. Was Elijah Calvin Aubry married to a Maggie Williams and they had a son William Gordan Aubry.

If so, is Maggie Williams kin to the Williams (W.C and M.C) buried at Indian Creek Cemetery...might they be her parents.

I have been tracking this W.C., but think it should be W.G. (for William Gordon Williams) for the longest time. He was a doctor in Cooke Co. before 1900.

Their children are:

John A., George and Maggie Williams and from what I can find, may have been born in Denton Co., TX. On 1900 Census, Denton Co., TX it shows only mother and father, but does show they had 3 children and 3 still living.

My interest is in George Williams. My grandmother, Marietta "Etta" Holman married W. George Williams in Gainesville, Cooke Co. TX in Aug 1900 (have original marriage license). George was previously married before Etta (I do not know to who). He left my grandmother with 6 children (have story written by oldest child) in 1911 in Cotton Co., OK. My grandmother died in 1912 in Cornish, Jefferson Co., OK and is buried in Cornish Cemetery.

None of George or Etta's children knew what happened to their father...when nor where he died. However, according to oldest child (William Robert Williams) saw him in Grady Co., OK at a courthouse in early 1930...his father had nothing to do with the case. WRW was there about buying land in that county and the seller wanting more money down. My uncle Bill (WRW) lost the case and put more down. After it was over his father, who had been there for the proceeding, approched Uncle Bill and said, "I am your father". You would have to know Uncle Bill - he gave him "whatfor" and George Williams left the courthouse and was never seen again. All of the children are gone now.

I have pictures of all of the children and my grandmother, but none of George. I was wondering if Elijah and Maggie have old pictures that their offsprings do not know who they are?

Can you help me with this mystery? Besides me, there is only one cousin still living, who's mother was one of George and Etta's children.

Their children were:
William Robert Williams
Henry Lafayette Williams
Clay Long Williams
Nelle Sparks Williams
Blanche Myrtle Williams
Beulah Etta Williams, my mother (1910-2001)
