My family name comes from Jack Awtry, who was the
son of William C. and Jonnie Mae Awtry. My father was
born in Anniston, Al, May 1916, (so they say). I am to this journey of
searching for family history. If your family is
familiar with the history as to where "Awtry" began
I would appreciate the info. There are so many
different variation of the name, I just keep
wondering why? Also, I have no information on
my dad's family as to birth dates but would
appreciate any info regarding William C. Awtry's
I might find a link.
