A.M. Autry is in Lawrence Co.Ms 1870 census household #985/985 page 124. I believe him to be the father of my husbands great grandmother Virginia G. Autry b. 1849 Wilcox Co. Ala. who married a J. S. Patterson 3-30-1867 in Lawrence Co. Ms, She is listed in his household #618/618 page 79 of the 1870 Lawrence Co., Ms census. When did your Lucy J. Autry b. 1841 marry John Henry Martin and where did they marry? The Lucy A. listed in the 1850 Wilcox Co., Ala census b.,1846 may be the L. Patterson living next door to him in Lawrence Co 1870 #986/986 with a l year old female child. Next door to her is listed a R. L. Autry #987/987 30m from Ala.wife E.J. age 25 from Ala. She could be the daughter listed in 1850 Wilcox Co, Ala as
Eliza J. age 7. There is a Rheuben Autry s/o Marcus L.Autry in 1850 Marengo Co. Ala. the correct age to be this Rueben. Could these be cousins that married? A. M. Autry signed the marriage bond of Virginia Patterson to her second husband Samuel Freeman 6-9-1874 in Lawrence Co., Ms. He also signed the marriage bond of Paralee H. Autrey who married John B. Coday 9-27-1874 in Lawrence Co Ms. We know that great grandma Virginia had a sister named "Cindy" or Lucinda or Lucy who married a Patterson or Cody by family history. Cindy is burried beside Virginia in an unmarked grave at New Hope Cemetery out from Seminary, Ms. From the census records of Lawrence Co., Ms. 1870, i t appears that Virginia and Lucy, or Lucinda both were married to Patterson's at that time period. They are both listed in the household of a S. Autry in 1880 Lawrence Co., Ms. census as widows. I think the S. is supposed to be A. M. for he is not listed there. It is household #160/16l on page 17. A. M. was married to a Sarah Jane ? who is buried in the Cliburn Sills Cemetery Lawrence Co, Ms.
Her birthdate is 4-30-1820 death 9-3-1893. I can't understand who the Mary age 54 in S. Autry household 1880 is if this is really A. M. Rhueben L. Autry is also on page 29 #245/245 1880 Lawrence Co.,Ms. Check this information out and see if you can make any connections with it.
