I have also just started searching the Autry
line. I found them in the 1860 census in
Franklin County and W's wife's name was
Lucretia (maiden name unknown). Their oldest
daughter Mary L Autry married James H. Kimbrough.
I found them in the 1880 Census
in Franklin County with their family.
I believe that Mary L who married James
Kimbrough is mixed blood Cherokee, as I have
just received her photo with her family and
one with her husband. These were scanned
and were old to begin with, but I was very
happy to get them.
I cannot help you further back at this
time, but I intend to look further. Family
information is that the grandmother of
Susan J. Kimbrough was full blood, however,
there were few full bloods left by 1800.
If I get further info, I will let you know.
